Photo: Tombs of Pre-Inca Elite Discovered Under Peru Pyramid



This decorated tumi, or ceremonial knife, was one of two found in a network of tombs under a pyramid in Peru. The knife, which is Peru's national symbol, had never before been found undisturbed; all of the other known tumi had been looted by tomb raiders over the centuries, archaeologists say.
