Photo: Giant Jumping Rats' Numbers Get Big Bounce in Madagascar



A camera trap captured this photograph of a giant jumping rat near its burrow in western Madagascar. The large rodents were once believed to be headed for extinction, but now scientists say there are three times more of the animals on the African island than had been thought.
