Photo: Rare Whales Appear off Scotland, Heat Wave Blamed



A minke whale surfaces off the coast of Scotland. Whales and dolphins have been appearing off Scotland's eastern coast in unusually large numbers in recent months. Scientists speculate that the animals may have followed their favorite prey, the sand eel, to the area's cooler waters.
