Photo: World's Largest River Fish Feared Extinct

This adult Chinese paddlefish was found in the Yangtze River in October 1993. The giant river fish species, the world's largest, has not been seen in the waterway since 2003, and no juveniles have been spotted since 1995. Scientists now fear that the fish is near extinction.
