Photo: Antarctica's Atmosphere Warming Dramatically, Study Finds

A halo of light caught by ice crystals in the air appears over the British Antarctic Survey's Halley Research Station.

Scientists have found that Antarctica's atmosphere has warmed dramatically over the past 30 years, with temperature spikes in some areas reaching three times the global average.
