Photo: Bigfoot Discovery Declared a Hoax

Two men claiming in August 2008 to have found the corpse of a Bigfoot—a legendary ape-like creature said to roam North America—offered meager evidence, including the allegedly phony photograph seen above.

Critics declared the men's story a bold hoax after the pair refused to show the body and following the disclosure that genetic tests from the alleged remains revealed human and opossum—but no Sasquatch—DNA.
