Photo: New Genome Tech May Pave Way for Personalized Meds

Jonathan Rothberg hands Nobel Prize-winning geneticist James D. Watson his complete personal genome on a computer disk in an undated photo.

Rothberg led a team of scientists that sequenced Watson's genome using a next-generation method that they say is cheaper and faster than older techniques.
