Photo: Single Asteroid Impact, Not Two, Killed Dinos, Study Says



A new study of seabed sediments adds support to the theory that a single asteroid impact at Chicxulub, on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula (seen here), wiped out the dinosaurs.

Scientists are embroiled in a fierce debate between supporters of a single-impact theory and those that believe at least two strikes, along with other factors, caused the extinctions.
