Photo: Ancient Gladiator Mosaic Found in Roman Villa

A mural recently found in an ancient Roman villa depicts a lightly armored gladiator wielding a net and a trident.

The villa belonged to Commodus, the bloodthirsty emperor who was the inspiration for the villain of the 2000 movie Gladiator.
