Photo: Jailed "Geographic" Reporter to Get High-Profile Help in Sudan



U.S. reporter Paul Salopek was charged with espionage in Sudan on August 26, 2006. A foreign correspondent for the Chicago Tribune, the Pulitzer Prize winner was on a freelance assignment for National Geographic magazine when pro-Sudanese-government forces arrested him in the Sudanese region of Darfur.
