Photo: Mars Has Cave Networks, New Photos Suggest



Images from the Odyssey orbiter reveal seven pits in the Martian surface that likely are "skylights" leading to underground caverns. The discovery of potential caves is exciting, scientists say, because such underground formations may be the most promising places to look for signs of life.
