Photo: Giant Fortress's Remains Found in Egypt

In late May 2008 archaeologists announced the discovery of new artifacts from the giant fortress Tharu, including the relief seen above.

The fort, located in the Sinai Peninsula near modern-day Gaza, helped protect the eastern borders of ancient Egypt for a thousand years.
