Photo: New Mini-Pterodactyl Among Smallest Known



An artist's rendering shows a new miniature flying reptile dubbed Nemicolopterus crypticus, now one of the smallest known pterosaurs, researchers announced.

The fossil creature, which lived in gingko forest canopies about 120 million years ago, was recently unearthed in ancient lake beds in eastern China.
