Photo: New Security Scanner Sees Through Clothes, But With Modesty



A new heat-sensing scanner can detect concealed weapons without revealing a person's identity or intimate anatomical details.

The device creates a map of minute temperature differences. Above, it is shown exposing cool metal and ceramic objects (blue) against warmer body heat (yellow and orange).
