Photo: Wing Angle May Be Key to Bird Flight Origins

How a young bird learns to fly—as shown here in this illustration of Chukar partridges—is dependent on its learning a certain wing angle, a new study says.

The research suggests that regardless of a bird's take-off spot, its wing angle is always the same.
