Photo: Montenegro Splits From Serbia, Redrawing Europe's Map



Serbia and Montenegro have been joined by a loose federation since 2003, when the two republics agreed to remain together for three years, after which time either state could hold a referendum on independence.

Yesterday citizens of Montenegro voted by a narrow margin to separate from Serbia, according to early poll results.
