Photo: U.S. Bee Collapse May Be Due to Alien Virus



A virus first identified in Israel in 2002 could be contributing to a massive die-off of U.S. honeybees, a new study says.

A genetic analysis of several unhealthy U.S. hives revealed the presence of the virus, though its exact role, if any, in the decline is unknown.
