Photo: Mystery Pyramid Built by Newfound Ancient Culture?



The origin of the mysterious Huapalcalco pyramid (above, in an undated photo) in the central Mexican state of Hidalgo has been a source of debate among archaeologists.

But several stone artifacts found near the site suggest a previously unknown culture, the Huajomulco, built the structure, archaeologists said in December 2008.
