Photo: Winter Tornadoes Can Be Faster, Deadlier, Experts Say



This tornado that touched down in Atkins, Arkansas, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, was just one of scores of twisters that tore through southern U.S. that day.

Scientists say that such winter twisters tend to move faster, giving people less warning to get out of the way.
