Photo: Ancient "Human Sacrifices" Found in Peru, Expert Says



A decapitated skeleton—from a male who apparently died in his 20s—lies in a 4,000-year-old sunken, circular plaza at Bandurria, Peru. Experts may prove these and nearby bones show signs of human sacrifice, which could suggest that Andean peoples of the period were not as peaceful as generally thought.
