Photo: Wolves to Be Hunted if Removed From U.S. Endangered List



Gray wolf pelts lie draped over a truck bed in 1998 after the animals were shot by federal wildlife officials for killing a rancher's cattle in Montana.

Last week the federal government proposed removing the wolves from the U.S. endangered species list. But the move has conservationists concerned, as leaders in three states have said that they will reinstate wolf hunting if the measure is passed.
