Photo: Monkey Dads Gain Weight With Their Mates, Study Says



Tamarin (pictured above) and marmoset dads gain up to 10 percent of their regular body weight while their mates are pregnant, new research shows. Scientists believe the males, who carry their babies around even more than the mothers do, need the extra fat as an energy reserve.
