Photo: Colossal Four-Galaxy Collision Discovered

An artist's rendering shows what the night sky might look like from a hypothetical planet near the ongoing four-way collision recently observed by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope.

Scientists say the collision is one of the biggest ever observed and will eventually form a new galaxy ten times the size of the Milky Way.
