Photo: Jade Axes Proof of Vast Ancient Caribbean Network, Experts Say



This jade axe blade and others like it excavated on the Caribbean island of Antigua have been found to be made of jade found in Guatemala, recent research shows.

The finding provides further evidence that a vast trade network extended through the Caribbean Sea in pre-Columbian times.
