Photo: "Space Internet" to Link Worlds by 2011?



An "interplanetary internet" (seen above in an artist's conception) being tested this week will revolutionize space communications, NASA said in July 2009.

The Disruption Tolerant Network will not only allow astronauts to tweet from space, it will aid vital communications among spacecraft and pave the path for future space initiatives.
