@Matt Suniyani  Can we simply have a day of remembrance without your trolling for conspiracies.  Nobody wants to hear that B.S.

@ Franz Li Some of those remains made their way on the wind to where I stood in New Brunswick, NJ. I felt them on my face and in my throat as I breathed in the acrid odor of jet fuel, wet cement, and burned flesh. So you can stop "wonder"ing.

Please remember that we are currently at war, Even though According to our President , because Bin Laden is dead so the war is over. I remember being in Afghanistan while he announced that, I believe I could still hear the mortars still exploding and the A10's in the air. This war was declared on the U.S and on U.S soil. If people are confused why men and women are sacrificing right now over in a far away land, its is plain and simple, To prevent a repeat of what happened years ago on this date. We can sit back and pretend that America is safe, and that God's hand is blessing. and protecting us, We can only spit in the face of the one who is keeping this land, and we can pass the blame on a variety of people, and a variety of societal issues. We do not dare take a look inward at ourselves and ponder the idea that we as Americans have turned our back on the very one who has the ability to dissolve this land in an instant. God is on His throne, He always was. Things we are experiencing around the World, are directly related to one thing, a thing called sin. God say's in his Word, honor me and I will honor you, reject me and I will reject you, and ultimately be cast away from Him for eternity. America has and is rejecting God, and we are experiencing the result of that choice, we want to blame all the heartache in the world on everything but what the real problem is, our Hearts, God's word tells us that man's heart is deceitful and desperately wicked who can know it? For those that have not accepted the free gift of Salvation, do not wait for the next 9/11!!

The remains of the two gigantic buildings on the ground were so little, too little... I cannot help but wonder...

Yet no mention or picture of the collapse of WTC Building 7? I think that's worth mentioning and it wasn't even mentioned when the event took place. Makes me wonder what their hiding that a building that wasn't hit by a plane would suddenly collapse with only nearby fire was "the cause" BS!

In one of these pictures the bulding is burning before the plane hasn't yet crashed into it, why?

I always get teary eyed seeing 9/11 photos, with an extreme desire to punish those responsible. I know I'm not in the position to judge, but man, how could they do such horrible thing, to kill thousands of innocent people? :(

My heart had ached for such tragedy. Killing innocent people. In the same way my heart is aching daily for palestinians killed by iraelli using american weapons.. and iraqi killed by americans..

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.--Edmund Burke.

There is evil in this world and it is seductive, telling us to do nothing.

I don't know what to believe any more. These things that we do, humans to our fellow humans. Words can't describe the pain we inflict on one another. If there is hope for this planet start with random selfless acts of kindness. For all the men and women that sacrifice there lives for others no matter where or why, you are the ones who represent all the good humanity has to offer. Perhaps one day the world leaders will be cut from the very same cloth. Sadly these people are murdered before they can apply their values into society and take affect. One day, one dream, one life, we can live, treat mother nature and our fellow humans with gratitude. It starts with the individual. May all people around the world find some salvation for those that have lost, suffered and be able to express their right for a better world..

I am living outside the U.S. when this horrific event happened. I remember the people's reaction at the time from Southeast Asia: shock, disbelief, and feelings of loss. Feelings of uncertainty of what is going to come...

There have been so many sad tragedies of war and death all over the globe.  The intention of this memorial is not to forget any loss of life - of US military men and women, US civilians, or tragedies of other countries and bygone eras.  The intention is to remember...to hold dear our families, our friends, our values and our rights to individual and personal beliefs.  We are human, we will not ever all have the same perspective, but we all value life.  As a nation, as  world, we were all saddened by 9/11, and by other tragedies scattered throughout the past. Peace.

@Jonathan Mcquiston :- Cant believe dumb & ignorant people like you still exist and dont want to accept the fact that the 9/11 was a inside job of the US govt. backed by the zionist..

Also US & the Zionist are the reason for the entire problems in the world, they invade countries for their own selfish reasons and have killed millions of people so far in Iraq & Afghanistan !!!! Wake up !!!!

@Franz Li The 1st plane hit the north tower and the second plane, which I believe is on the picture was about to hit the south tower.

Cheryl Snellings-Nicholas

@Franz Li  If it's the picture I think you're talking about, the North tower is to the right.  The angel of the camera makes it look like it is one building, but it is both, side by side.  The burning one was already hit.

@Aslam Shah : Remember Hitler?!. Stupid irrelevant comment. The world was at war at the time and had nothing to do with terrorism

@Cuneyt Yalcin I watched the first 2 segments of your post. When I wrote my website posts we knew how many people were on each plane. We had recordings of the cell phones from the PA flight. We saw footage of the aircraft crash into the Pentagon. We still have the articles at home written about that day by the Buffalo News. President Bush addressed grade school children that morning...
