NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope snapped this new picture of M33, also known as the Triangulum Galaxy, for the Around the World in 80 Telescopes live webcast held on April 3-4, 2009, UT.

M33 is part of what's known as the Local Group of galaxies, and it is gravitationally bound to our home galaxy the Milky Way. For this reason, it is one of the few galaxies that is moving toward us rather than flying away due to the expansion of the universe.
