Southwestern France, February 22, 2009--Livestock gather around feed deposited in the Landes forest, which shows few signs of life after a tornado devastated the region a month ago.

The January 25 tornado tore through southwestern France and northern Spain with winds of up to 118 miles (190 kilometers). Eleven people were killed.
