Berlin, Germany, December 16, 2008--An as-yet-unnamed baby hippo, born on November 29, follows mom Kati through the waters of the Berlin Zoo. The infant had its public debut on Tuesday.

This little creature may even draw attention from the zoo's international superstar, Knut the polar bear (see photo).

Hippo calves weigh nearly 100 pounds (45 kilograms) at birth and can suckle underwater by closing their ears and nostrils.
