Patzun, Guatemala, November 1, 2008--As Guatemalans gathered to celebrate the Day of the Dead, Helena Upun, 53, speaks on a cell phone to her son Ronaldo who migrated to the U.S., the Associated Press reported.

On the Day of the Dead the deceased are said to return to visit relatives and loved ones. Families decorate the tombs of the departed. The festival coincides with the Catholic All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.
