Xiamen, China, September 30, 2008--Giddy up! A lion rides a horse in a circus show as part of celebrations to mark National Day, the 59th anniversary of the founding of communist China.

The circus is one of many events held during the week-long holiday, which has seen millions of people flooding China's tourist destinations, according to the Xinhua news agency.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of reforms that have transformed China's role in the global economy.
