Rongshui County, China, September 15, 2008--Spectators look on as two horses fight during a competition marking Zhongqiu Jie, or the Mid-Autumn festival.

The harvest festival is traditionally celebrated in rural villages with rest, entertainment, and squaring debts, according to United Press International.

The Chinese government made the harvest festival a three-day holiday for the first time this year as part of a shift from three week-long breaks to more breaks of shorter duration throughout the year.
