Hanover, Germany, August 15, 2008—A seal jumps through a hoop at the Hanover Adventure Zoo. The 135-year-old zoo held an animal Olympic Games to coincide with the Summer Olympics in Beijing.

The zoo says it has a strong conservation mission, including programs to boost wild populations of addax antelopes and drill baboons, along with 17 other species in its breeding programs.
