Zurich, Switzerland, March 19, 2008—Having a baby at 70? No sweat for "Nigrita," the Galápagos giant tortoise that gave birth to this tiny reptile, seen here at three weeks old at the Zurich Zoo.

It's a slow crawl to parenthood for the giant animals, which are native to the Galápagos Islands: The reptiles become sexually mature at 25 years old and can live up to 150 years.

Nigrita has been at the Swiss zoo since 1946, according to the Telegraph newspaper.
