Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Mexico, August 21, 2007—Municipal workers pick up a road sign that fell after Hurricane Dean's landfall on the southern Yucatán Peninsula.

Dean slammed into Mexico's Caribbean coast this morning, flooding streets, blowing the roofs off houses, and battering resorts while tens of thousands of tourists and residents huddled in shelters.
