Jakarta, Indonesia, February 4, 2007—A two-week-old baby is evacuated from a flooded area in east Jakarta on February 4. Days of torrential rain caused heavy flooding in Indonesia's capital, leaving at least 100,000 people homeless and 50 dead, disaster officials say.

Now, with floodwaters receding, residents returning to their homes face the arduous task of clearing streets and surrounding areas of mud and stinking garbage.
