December 27, 2006—Humans have disturbed, transformed, or developed most of the world's surface—but not all of it.

In Congo, there are still some pristine forests that house "naive" chimpanzees—apes that have never before seen a human being (Congo map).

Join conservationists as they make first contact with naive chimps in the African wilderness, and learn the tricks the scientists employ to make sure they leave the forests as undisturbed as when they entered.
