"For all its notoriety, [the great white shark] is in fact a very vulnerable animal, and its many scars and often timid behavior around a boat bear testimony to that," photographer Chris Fallows said. "Each great white shark has a distinct personality, and over the last decade, we have come to love all of the locals that make [South Africa's] Seal Island their winter home."
