"Common dolphins working a bait ball. These fast and graceful animals work as a team to herd the sardines (Sardinops ocellatus) into a tight ball, driving them toward the surface. The dolphins appear to use a combination of bubbles and sounds to achieve this. The dolphins are very vocal during this operation. I could clearly hear both communication and sonar sounds building up to a crescendo as they repeatedly smashed into the fish."
