November 22, 2009--Sunlight streams over the blue orb of Earth as seen from the International Space Station in an astronaut's photograph. The space shuttle Atlantis has been docked at the orbiting outpost since November 18 as part of a mission to install upgrades and prepare for installation of a new module, nicknamed Tranquility.

The latest ISS "node," slated to launch with a February 2010 shuttle mission, will house life-support equipment and a seven-window, dome-shaped observation module.
