Arlington, Virginia, September 11, 2008--A mother and her children attend the unveiling of the Pentagon Memorial.

The memorial was dedicated on the seventh anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, in which a hijacked airliner was flown into the west side of the Pentagon, killing 184 people.

The monument features 184 benches shaped to suggest an aircraft's tail and aligned along the flight path of the ill-fated airliner.
