Kaohsiung, Taiwan, May 24, 2007—An orangutan shot by a tranquilizer dart rests following its escape Wednesday from its cage at the Shoushan Zoo.

The 19-year-old primate, named "Little Blackie," chewed through her cage and went on a three-hour rampage, overturning garbage cans and motor scooters near the zoo entrance, Reuters reported.

State agricultural workers subdued the animal with a tranquilizer dart and later a stun gun.

The debacle ensued only weeks after a saltwater crocodile bit off the arm of a veterinarian at the same zoo.
