Wranglers Guide Cows out of Hurricane Rita Floodwaters

September 21, 2005—A line of elderly wheel chair-bound citizens from the Edgewater Retirement Community in Galveston,Texas, wait to board a bus to evacuate the city in preparation for Hurricane Rita. Texas Governor Rick Perry said earlier that a long stretch of his state's Gulf of Mexico coastline should be evacuated in advance of the storm. Rita made landfall on Saturday in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. Galveston did not receive a direct hit from the storm.
