"The power, speed, and purposeful attack of the predators is equally matched by the agility and survival [rate] of the seals," photographer Chris Fallows said. "In roughly 50 percent of all attacks on seals, the white shark is successful. Each season I may observe as many as 600 predatory events [around South Africa's Seal Island]."
