Things have changed a lot in the 20 years since the first Webby Awards. In 1997, only about 120 million people used the internet—today, that number is about 30 times bigger. But the Webbys still mark the pinnacle of online achievement.
The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, comprising thousands of web luminaries, awards the famous spiral trophy in over two dozen categories, each of which is also open for votes from any denizen of the internet to decide the People’s Voice Awards.
This year, National Geographic is nominated for People’s Voice Awards in 11 categories. Click on the hyperlinks in the gallery above or in the list below to help us win. Voting closes April 20.
