The Mission

Wildlife Watch is dedicated to shining light on commercial-scale exploitation of wildlife and other valued resources, identifying weaknesses in national and international efforts to protect wildlife, and empowering institutions and individuals working for a better world. Stories cover a range of human activity, from crime to heroism. Wildlife Watch grew out of National Geographic’s Special Investigations Unit, which was launched by National Geographic Society Fellow Bryan Christy in 2015.

You can find all of our stories at Wildlife Watch. Meet the team here.
