Susan Roesgen, co-host of National Geographic Today, joined the
National Geographic Channel in December 2000.

An 18-year veteran of television news, Roesgen has always wanted to see the world. Over the years, her reporting has taken her from an army barracks in Haiti, to a boat on the Sea of Galilee, and, most recently, to the pyramids of Egypt.

Roesgen's wanderlust began in childhood, when she read "Wonders of the Ancient World" by the great explorer Richard Halliburton. Today, one of Roesgen's aspirations is to retrace Halliburton's adventures.

Roesgen is the recipient of an Emmy award for her documentary on the theft of artifacts from New Orleans historic cemeteries, and a Louisiana Associated Press Award for her reporting in Israel.

Roesgen is a magna cum laud graduate of English Literature from Montana State University.
