Wreckage from a plane belonging to Steve Fossett is seen near Mammoth Lakes in a handout photo released by California's Mono County Sheriff Search and Rescue team.

Searchers found the wreckage of Fossett's plane in the rugged Sierra Nevada mountains on October 1, 2008—just over a year after the millionaire adventurer vanished during a solo flight.
