Photo: Salamanders "Completely Gone" Due to Global Warming?



Two common species of salamander, including Pseudoeurycea goebeli (above, in the San Marcos region of western Guatemala) have disappeared from their cloud forest habitat, a February 2009 study found.

The tiny amphibians seem to be on the same downward spiral as their frog cousins, which have been mysteriously declining for years, experts say.
