Photo: Splitting Water Molecules the Next "Green" Power Source?



Green plants have been using photosynthesis for billions of years to efficiently convert sunlight into energy.

Now scientists say artificially mimicking a key step in the process—splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen—could offer humans a limitless source of renewable energy.
